Romier S
Reported on Gamespot: Reports from Japan strongly suggest that Nintendo will not be holding its annual Space World event in Tokyo for the second year in succession. Almost exactly a year after Nintendo canceled Space World 2002 via Japanese monthly gaming magazine Nintendo Dream, reports from Japan this morning--which appear to have originated from the same publication--strongly suggest that Nintendo has no plans to hold a Space World event in Tokyo this year. The last Space World public expo took place in 2001 when Nintendo unveiled both Super Mario Sunshine and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the first time. We'll bring you more information on this story as it becomes available. Source: http://www.gamespot.com/gba/news/news_6029528.html

potempkin
I always thought it was kind of silly for Nintendo to hold their own trade show. It may have made sense when they were hyping the Gamecube, but now that they are in a solid...but distant...second place worldwide, they know that Spaceworld would be a second-rate rehash of E3 (which was also somewhat of a disappointment for Nintendo). No need to waste the money or resources.
