PHiL
Yesterday at work we received a brand new Elliptical Exercise Machine.. Cost is $ 799.99.. After putting it together, I started to read the directions, of all the features and such.. Then I come Across Games!!!! While working out on this machine you can play 2 games. There's a game similar To Tetris and the other game on there is Space Invaders..So even while your working out you can enjoy yourself.. You might be asking How the hell do you play the games? Well At the end on both arms there are D-Pads:) This machine is well worth the money, not just for games but its built like a rock. http://www.proform.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10351&mpe_id=12904&productId=29394&intv_id=17052&evtype=CpgnClick&langId=-1&catalogId=13402&ddkey=ClickInfo#

Without Blu-Ray and a built-in hard drive, I'm skeptical of its long term viability with that $799 price tag. Any idea what exclusives are coming out for it? Josh
Nice, Phil. The only thing that keeps me going in workouts, strangely enough, is KMFDM on my iPod. I don't really like them anymore in any other context, but when I'm lifting...SEX ON THE FLAG!
PHiL
haha... I got some of the older gentlemen at my job trying it out.. They even say its good for them.. The games take there mind off of the actual workout, and there not bored doing it.. So I guess thats the main reason they put games onto it.:tu :tu
Robot Monkey
Sorry I'm late to this thread, but combining exercise and games is an awesome idea, awesome. Here's my idea for combining exercise and games: Get two teams of players. I suggest recruiting at a spin class or something. Anyway, play on a rectangular field with a goal area at each end. The object of the game is to score by maneuvering the ball into the opposing goal. Only the goalkeepers may use their hands or arms to propel the ball (haha!). The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. You'll get one hell of a workout and the game is simple. Keep in mind that watching it is like watching flies fuck, however. Also, bring orange slices for the players. Dunno why, but I get a feeling that orange slices should be a part of it. Variation: Play this game on skates in an ice rink. Instead of kicking a ball, hit a small object around the rink with a stick. Grow your hair short on the sides and front and very long in the back. Substitute the orange slices with Molson beer. I think you'll get a hell of a lot of conditioning just from the skating portion, but I'm thinking of also including a martial arts minigame. That's just what I have off the top of my head, but if we think about it, I bet we can come up with other novel ways to combine exercise with games.
