TimS
First screens: http://www.digitaldisplacement.com/?p=2484 Looking good, obviously needs some anti-aliasing work, but here's hoping for some updates to the game itself, which is getting a bit predictable year to year. GunnerX
One thing they REALLY REALLY need to fix is the network issues and all the bugs. My friends and I bought MGP 06 but ended up not really playing it. Some of my friends just traded it in. It was all due to the ludicrous amount of online problems. MotoGP for the Xbox was great and we played it non stop. So I don't know why they couldn't get it right for the 360.
merlot
I'm hopping they make the throttle control truly analog instead of the 3 or 4 basic positions. Also, get rid of the hitting it twice to powerslide... how about if jamming the stick to wide open throttle makes it powerslide, like a real MotoGP bike. Also, some AI improvements would be nice. I can't count how many times I'd be in the lead and would take a less then stellar line through a turn, only to have the AI knock me to the ground while they speed off to take the lead. :bh
dogbert
Is this still being developed by the ex-Climax Racing team (now part of Buena Vista Games)?
TimS
That I would love to know as well. I honestly thought the franchise was toast once they got bought out. Right now I have hardly any info on it, and sadly my THQ contacts aren't the best.
Cyberwoo
I think I'd be more interested in the Superbike World Championship game being developed for the 360 rather than another MotoGP game. MotoGP06 demo didn't do anything for me. I remember enjoying the Superbikes games back in the day on the PC and then I believe they quit making them around 2001/2002. The game I played was called Superbikes 2001 and was published by EA. Good stuff.
TimS
Unfortunately there's no US publisher, and the last Superbikes game never got picked up for American distribution, so SBK'07 may not either. Unless you're in the UK, in which case you're golden
Graeme
I was a big fan of these games, and MotoGP 06 was one of the reasons I bought a 360 when I did... but I really can't get excited about this game. These games are really all about the multiplayer and were the main game I played on XBL when I first got the service. I was hooked. But since MotoGP2 it has steadily gone downhill. A big driving factor for playing the game online were it's wonderfully simple yet somewhat meaningful scoreboards, which have become a muddled mess with the inclusion of Extreme Mode and continued plague of cheats and glitches. The games lobbies, once the standard bearer for XBL, have become buggy less useful than they were years ago. And lets not forget the tedium that is playing through the single player game year after year to build up your bike and unlock all the tracks and default riders. The game looks pretty, it plays well (although it seems to keep getting harder and harder to put together a good lap), but that's not enough. This one needs to be as perfect as possible out of the gate to get even the diehards to buy it. If there are problems with the game, it will die a very quick death, and a patch 5 months later isn't going to help it at all. Hopefully whoever is developing the title this year understands that and can put together another top notch game.

Anthony G
No problem. 06' was on my definite buy list and quickly dropped off once I started getting feedback about all the online problems.
Derrik Draven
To be honest, I'm pretty "meh" about this series. Just doesn't seem to be much you can do to keep it fresh and interesting. I was a complete junkie for this when it was included in the beta test for 'Live, and I quickly bought the next game in the series when it came out and had a blast with that one too but, it just sort of burned itself out. The next one seemed VERY much like the previous one and, other than some tweaked graphics, this seems to be like the other previous one that I didn't play that was like the previous one before that...I think... Hope it's good for all MotoGP fans but, me thinks I'm gonna pass this time...again...
Graeme
I finally tried the demo that had been sitting on my Xbox's HD for awhile... and I was pretty impressed. The handling is much closer to MotoGP 2... meaning that it's much much easier to hold a powerslide without bailing (at least on it's default settings). I bought a 360 in part to play MotoGP 06, and got really frustrated with it because I couldn't come to terms with the touchy powersliding, and couldn't go back to not doing it at all. I might buy this... but it'll probably be a rental first to see how the online is.
Graeme
I finally picked this up today as the price dropped to $30 at work.... I really really wish this game had been MotoGP 06. The handling has a weird twitchyness, which makes things a little different, but it's SO much more forgiving than MotoGP 06 and MotoGP 3 that the game is fun again. Instead of getting frustrated cause I can't keep the bike upright, I'm trying to find the best lines and moments to powerslide again like I was back in the MotoGP 2 days. Plus the framerate problems, Scoreboard freezes and other little problems seem to have been taken care of, and it's the best looking game in the series so far. I haven't tried online, but I'm sure they probably got that worked again this year and the game can remain the gold standard for design of XBox Live games of this type... too bad nobody plays it. fretster
The only MotoGP game I've enjoyed was the original on the Xbox; the rest of them something has felt off about the handling of the bikes.
