Bruce B
I started a thread like this a few years ago and it was interesting to find out what people just refuse to miss, so I thought I would revive it. I'm also adding shows that have fallen out of favor with me and why. Must see: 1. House- To me, by far, the best actor on tv is Hugh Laurie. To watch this show you have to suspend disbelief because there is no way he could get away with the stuff he gets away with. His character is enthralling. He can cure all ailments except his own. 2. 24- getting long in the tooth, but still love Bauer power 3. Heroes- Been taping it and havent caught up but I think I want the dvd and start from the beginning 4. Greys Anatomy- Loved E.R. but this show is better. Gre herself is annoying but the rest of the cast is great. 5.Lost- The show I love to hate but keep watching. It pisses me off constantly with its hiatuses but I'm still there. Shows that have fallen off my radar: 1. Survivor- Boring. I use to watch when they actually made the people starve. Too many challenges where the get food and amenities 2. Amazing Race- Just tired of the format 3. Reality shows in general 4. CSI- Again, bored with the format

Sparkz
1. Heroes - Haven't missed an episode yet! 2. Prison Break - Still enjoying it 3. Survivor - Been watching since 2000, think the newer stuff like the hidden immunity idol keeps things interesting. 4. Smallville - Gets DVR'd when on at the same time as Survivor. 5. Rome/Sopranos/(HBO Sunday night 9pm) 6. How I Met Your Mother - Gets DVR'd and watched Tuesday or Wednesday I'll also watch American Idol and Numbers with my wife. Shows no longer watched anymore: Studio 60 - Had a backlog of 3 weeks of this show that we just weren't motivated to watch, so deleted them before going on vacation to make room to record some other shows & movies. Amazing Race - lost interest

dogbert
Here's what I watch every week, usually when the baby's falling asleep or getting fed (thanks, Tivo!): Battlestar Galactica (rapidly getting bored...) Heroes Knights of Prosperity (thoroughly underrated - it hits just the right 'pitch' for me) My Name Is Earl Rose watches Grey's Anatomy, ER & Desperate Housewives, though I think she's getting bored of the latter. We watch "Waterloo Road" thanks to UKNova. There's a few other shows we've got season passes to, but don't watch 'religiously', just keep to watch for filler & to avoid watching live tv: Sarah Silverman Show Made Wife Swap Nova Quest. I'm sure there's more. Our TV watching has jumped up since we had our daughter.

GreenMonkey
I didn't watch any TV until I watched S1 of Lost and Desperate Housewives last year. Now I watch Lost. Desperate Housewives we are still watching, but it went downhill. It's gotten a little too soap-opera-y for me as of late with preposterous storylines. And how many times is Bree going to hook up with some crazy dude? So now I'm down to Lost, Colbert Report and the Daily Show. And South Park as I didn't watch between seasons 2/3 and S11 or whatever it's on. I still watch Desperate Housewives with the wife but I'm rapidly getting tired of it. I don't know why I'm bothering. My wife watches House and I've become amused by it. It's sometimes a bit too unrealistic but House is such a grumpy drug-addicated bastard I find it amusing. So I watch that lately although I've oly seen bits of pieces of S1 & S2. 1 Lost 2 Colbert 3 Daily Show 4 House That's pretty much it. My wife likes Grey's Anatomy but I don't find it very appealing. I just watched the 3-parter about the ferry crashing. The first 2 eps were good (actual medical drama!) but neither one of us could stand how they stretched it to a 3rd ep and how it resolved. And the 3rd ep (the last one that just aired) was LAME (sorry Grey's fans). My wife thought she had me watching it, but she said after watching that ep "dang, now he's never going to watch it, because that was kinda dumb". I noticed that since she moved it down from "I love this show so much I speed on my 2 hour drive home in time to watch it" to "it's taping, I'll watch it later" BTW my wife liked the commercials for Sarah Silverman show but we watched a few of them and neither of us found them very funny. Just don't get it, I guess. Not my kind of humor. She is kinda hot though.

Josh
Sarah Silverman is hysterical, but not for everyone. She's very caustic and dry. See below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Ko6LNkviE

See below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Ko6LNkviE That explains why you like her. Yeah, fuck that no talent racist bitch. When I used to deliver chinese food back in 1993, she said I got her order wrong and called me a stupid chink. I would have preferred she use the words chinese person. :furious

See below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Ko6LNkviE meh...I find her neither caustic nor dry, just sort of predictable. Her show just makes me wish the State and Dave Chappelle still had new episodes coming out. She's cute though; I'll give her that much. I won't even go into the irony of minorities being racist, but I'm sad to hear she is one.
