JoeyN
Saw this on Good Morning America this morning. It allows you once a year to check out your credit report on the three Major companies for free. The address is AnnualCreditReport.com. A few months back my parents were doing something financially and during the process it turned out some some of my cards were on their report. My dad and I have the same first and last name. Even with different SS numbers our stuff was crossed which it should not be. The women was supposed to get box our stuff fixed, but after printing out my reports it turns out she did not fully fix it with two out of the three report companies. Make sure to print out reports from each one and check them. If there is a problem you can contact them to get it fixed. The first company has me really screwed up as it asked some questions of items of stuff for my dad. The second only had a card of his, and the third looks to be correct. Thought you guys would like to check everything out to see if your on the up and up.
Dimness
Unfortunately, those credit reports don't include your credit score. I was disappointed when I got my first ever credit report.
rustyjaw
I believe that the law is that you must be allowed a free credit check once a year. What that site does is make it easy to check them all at once, which is really convenient. Thanks for the heads up.
JoeyN
Yeah it is a law. This site was made because of the law to give people a easy place to get them
GreenMonkey
You can also get them free directly from the credit agencies @ equifax.com, transunion.com, etc.
