Angel P
Oh man, my wife purchased an HK AVR435 for me just a few years ago. I don't think she'd appreciate it if I sprung for this. Very tempting.
MrJames
The Elite VSX-92TXH and VSX-94TXH A/V receivers are specifically engineered for the 1080p world with a Faroudja? video scaler chip that ensures full 1080p 24Hz performance among high resolution products. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/press/release/detail/0,,2076_310069589_441424387,00.html
BdoUK
This was the news I was waiting for! I absolutely adore my Elite 56TXi and really want to stay with Pioneer for my next receiver. The specs look great!
kelley
Very nice indeed. Only downside I see is they should have put one more HDMI port on the top two models I think. Hopefully the launch for these is bug free unlike the 8x series.
PackFan
Anyone know Best Buy/Magnolia's exchange policy via service plan? I bought a 74TXVi as an open-box clearance for an amazing price. I love the receiver. The only downside of it at this point is that I have to use MCAAC settings to overcome the fact that the subwoofer does not output enough over PCM on hdmi, and I have yet to find a local place to update the firmware to fix it. Does Best Buy/Magnolia replace the item with something of comparable value (i.e. 84 or 94 perhaps) or is it based upon what was paid for the item? Thanks! kelley
Based upon what was paid I do believe, but I don't think they replace without a repair attempt first anymore, unless your warranty specifically says so.
exile
Usually it's 3 attempts to fix before total replacement. IE a lemon guarantee.
foogledricks
A little off subject, but I have a Pioneer Receiver, and it doesn't seem to output a signal to the woofer. I've run through the setup like 100 times, indicating that I have a subwoofer, but ultimately it turns out like I don't even have a woofer. So, I've just set all my speakers to large to compensate. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong in the setup, though I don't think so. Perhaps my woofer or its cable has a problem that it didn't before (seemed to all work fine with my previous receiver). Anyway, just in case you all had experienced a similar problem with this specific line of receiver, I thought I'd run it by you. I have a VX-

BdoUK
Jordan, Which Elites have you owned in the past? Did you feel like the 84TX from last year was as good SQ wise as the older Elites? I know there was a lot of talk about them being "not as hefty" as some of the older Pioneers.
BdoUK
Woohoo just picked up a 92TXH at my local Best Buy this morning. Gotta love those 12% off coupons . Fun afternoon ahead hooking up this beast.
