foogledricks
I really liked this show. Thought it was fantastic. But it is canned. This article will piss you off if you like it: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,271432,00.html
boogieman
It's funny that at the beginning of the tv season, I was sure Studio 60 would be the one to make it and 30 Rock would tank. Turns out, 30 Rock was one of the funniest shows on tv this year while Studio 60 was merely "meh". I'll still check out the remaining shows when they come on this summer. foogledricks
The same thing you can expect from any douchebag I suppose. A fresh scent.
Ron
Holy crap... that article is a joke, right? Like, somebody hacked the website and posted a tv-show-forum flame-war post as an article?
fighting fish
Sad news, I really enjoyed the show. Really enjoyed the "Fair and Balanced" reporting of it's demise.
foogledricks
Sad news, I really enjoyed the show. Really enjoyed the "Fair and Balanced" reporting of it's demise. Hey, they're just reporting. We're just deciding.
Chris The Rock
I don't consider a page with the headline "Celebrity Gossip" to be serious news. No need to hate Fox News over that. I'm sure that someone on the left also hated the show because it was aimless and boring, not just because it was a vehicle for Aaron Sorkin's political views. foogledricks
It's funny, I liked the West Wing too. Never thought about either shows as a vehicle for political propaganda. Just thought they were good shows. I mean, moral views are the backbone to character interaction, dialog, theme, story, etc... people are so friggin sensitive to that stuff. My brother in law called the West Wing the "Left Wing" which I thought was funny.
Parrish
Studio 60 was far from perfect, but at least it was smart. I knew from the pilot that it wouldn't last, though.
Rainmaykr
Can someone clue me in on why this article is teh suck? It reads just like every other gossip schlock entertainment/gossip section of any news channel (or their website). The entertainment collumnists are ALWAYS hitting below the belt (though, I don't know if any of the facts in this article is untrue) and sound as if written for AICN forums. The entertainment sections are seperate, and are treated as such, from the other, less-housewifey centric "news" sections. How's this one different, again? fighting fish
Was this the gossip section?! I can't find anywhere where it says it's gossip, granted, it also doesn't seem like a serious news piece. I personally think the article sucks becuase at the beginning of the season, "Studio 60" was critically praised (if I am remembering correctly) and this article is just saying what a steaming pile of crap the show is and has always been. When you take Sorkin's liberal writing and contrast that with Fox's allegid conservative slant on everything, it just comes off as kicking a show when it's down. It especially came off that way to me, as I found the show rather enjoyable.
Rainmaykr
If the content didn't tip you off, "Fox 411" is the entertainment/gossip/rag-mag section.
dogbert
Was this the gossip section?! I can't find anywhere where it says it's gossip, granted, it also doesn't seem like a serious news piece. The title bar for the page says "Celebrity gossip" along with the story headline, and the rest of the stories are quite clearly gossip page stories. exile
The title bar was obvious. Until I read a press release I won't believe it. Fox reported the show was dead some six months ago and they made more shows. When you take Sorkin's liberal writing and contrast that with Fox's allegid conservative slant on everything, it just comes off as kicking a show when it's down. Fox is hardly conservative. I have conservative friends who think it's too liberal. It's very middle(MSNBC is close as well).
fighting fish
That's why I was wondering if it was gossip. Is it for sure that "Studio 60" is done or is it just speculation?! Is it this week that the networks release their final fall lineups?
exile
I believe Monday is when they finally decide.
kelley
I believe Monday is when they finally decide. Is that when NBC announces their 07/08 line up? I'm curious if Scrubs will get a final go on NBC, especially with the rumors going around that if NBC doesn't take it ABC wants it.

I think Scrubs is a great show and I really hope it survives somewhere.
boogieman
From what I've read, Scrubs is going to get renewed for 18 episodes. As for Studio 60, word is they've already started taking down the sets.
