Looks great to me. Will definitely be buying this. I didn't buy the Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee games because I prefer the main Pokémon game mechanics. I'm also glad they didn't announce that it was delayed

There will be a Pokemon Direct tomorrow:

That’s very brief. Makes me wonder if it’s going to be a tease at the new core game followed by an apology that it will not be coming out this year.

Tetris 99 is really fun. It's basically a battle royale but instead of eliminating players via first/third person shooting of various weapons, it's Tetris. 😂

    I would definitely get:
    1) a screen protector ($10 Amazon so why even risk the screen getting scratched?)
    2) a micro SD card ($20 on Amazon for a 128GB one... some games are only available as digital downloads)
    3) a case (only if you're planning on travelling with the Switch)

After you get some time with the joy-cons, you should get a good idea of whether you can use them long-term or not. They are perfectly fine for most games but for games like Fortnite, they are not so good. The size of the analog sticks and face buttons are really small. The Pro controller is a great remedy for that.

In light of the news that Nintendo recommends an Ethernet connection for playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate online, if you're looking for a cheap LAN adapter for the Switch, I just bought this Plugable Gigabit USB-to-Ethernet Adapter for $15 that is listed as Switch-compatible:

I've only used it for one day so far but the connection seems faster/more stable and I can confirm that it is plug-and-play with the latest Switch firmware. With this, the Pro controller, and 10 foot 3.5mm headset jack extension cable, there are literally no excuses for not playing better in Fortnite (except for my old age hindering my reaction time, aim, etc.)!

Yeah, I bought a Pro controller when it was on sale a few weeks ago. It is like night and day. I'm still pretty bad at the game but I never won any matches prior to getting a Pro controller and I've won 3 since. The sounds the joy-cons make doesn't really bother me but the smaller size of the analog thumbsticks and all the buttons really made playing Fortnite a chore, especially since you're pressing so many different buttons during a match. Now if only the Pro controller had a headset jack like the Xbox 1/PS4 controllers do!

My wife accidentally knocked my Switch off of the dresser the other day. There didn't seem to be any visible issues but after playing with it, I noticed that the L button was no longer registering clicks. I contemplated getting a new left joy-con but $50 seems outrageous so I ended up buying a triwing screwdriver to open it up to see if something got disconnected (I also thought I would need it if I ever wanted to do the joy-con shell swap in the future).

After opening up the joy-con, I noticed that the internal button the L button was pressing had partially broken off from the PCB board it was soldered to. Unfortunately, I don't own any soldering equipment (or know how to use it) but I found that Amazon sells replacement parts for this broken piece in the $11-12 range so I bought one. Here's the link, if you need it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BGX533Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Installing it was very easy (particularly since I already had it disassembled). The replacement button makes a little louder of a clicking sound but otherwise works just like the original. I suggest watching this joy-con teardown video before opening up the joy-con:

I had to re-format the microSD card on my PC and now my Switch recognizes it again. The data on there must've gotten corrupted. Now I just need to re-download 27 games.
